Hi, I am Laura and am mum to my daughter Eva and toddler Jack.
I have been a complementary therapist for over 17 years, and have worked in many spas and natural health settings; my qualifications include massage, pregnancy massage, Shiatsu and aromatherapy.
I have practiced Yoga for over 15 years, having completed two 200 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher training courses and many CPD trainings. It was my teacher training with internationally renowned teacher Katy Appleton (appleyoga) in hatha and vinyasa flow yoga that really sparked my passion. Yoga gives me balance and always amazes me how much longer the benefits last ‘off the mat’. Apart from the obvious benefits of improved flexibility and relaxation, yoga has made me more grounded, improved my sleep and my ability to better cope with the daily challenges of life.
I went on to train in Pregnancy/Post-Natal Yoga incorporating Baby Yoga and Baby Massage, with Katy Appleton, (96 hour Yoga Alliance course), which was my favourite training to date. I was inspired by how empowering this practice was for mums-to-be, for some of whom this would be their first experience of yoga. When I had my own baby, Eva, it reinforced this. I realised what a benefit practicing pregnancy yoga had been to me in preparation for birth and beyond. I loved attending Baby Massage and Baby Yoga classes with Eva, and the special time it gave us to bond and to meet other mums. Eva would delight in the songs and movements and experienced the social aspect of being with other babies.
Since then I have completed an additional Baby Yoga Training course with Birthlight, and Baby Massage Training with To Baby and Beyond. I have also furthered my pregnancy massage study with the prestigious Well Mother Advanced Pregnancy Massage training with Suzanne Yates.
Most recently I have qualified in teaching the wonderfully therapeutic practice of Restorative Yoga with Anna Ashby.
I would love to share these benefits with you.
